JD Edwards-to-SAP Cloud Blueprint for Ocean Network Express
As part of a PwC-led program, Enterprise Solutions Lab served as solution architect for Ocean Network Express — the container-shipping joint venture of Japan's NYK, MOL, and K Line — building the transformation blueprint for its move from JD Edwards to SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud.
Project Overview
ONE was formed by merging the container operations of three shipping lines, which meant standing up one finance platform for a brand-new global carrier. ESL owned the business-transformation blueprint — the bridge between business and IT across every project integrating with SAP Cloud — for a clean transition off JD Edwards.
Cloud Greenfield
Blueprinted the move from JD Edwards to SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud for a newly formed global carrier.
Joint-Venture Standup
Aligned the finance platform to a three-way joint venture spanning NYK, MOL, and K Line operations.
Business–IT Bridge
Led as the liaison between business and IT across every project integrating with SAP Cloud.
How We Did It

Developed the end-to-end business-transformation blueprint for a smooth JD Edwards-to-cloud transition.
Cloud-First Design
Shaped processes to fit SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud standard capability rather than lift-and-shift customization.
Cross-Project Coordination
Kept the many workstreams integrating with SAP Cloud aligned to one target design.
